And decided to visit the local Suzuki dealer close to where I'm staying in Tokyo. Grabbed some litature, couple of scale toys and two oil filters for the Kiz (about $20 usd)

Very cool! It's interesting to see the interiors really carry the same designs we see in our Kizashis, but in a lower grade trim (steering wheel accents). But I like the function over form no-nonsense interior.

Man, that is a clean workshop! JDM service goodness we don't get here in the US. :(

Spotting a Kizashi in Japan is as hard as in the US. However, in Japan, there's a good chance a Kizashi is an unmarked cop car. I spotted one in Kyoto rushing to an emergency location last winter.

One day, I'd like to visit the Suzuki museum in Hamamatsu which is Suzuki's hometown. The museum is free but requires a reservation. I went to Toyota's museum in Nagoya, Kawasaki's in Kobe, and a Subaru showroom in Tokyo during my last trip. That reminds me that I should probably post pics from those soon.

That interior looks almost Scandinavian in its simple, functional, yet curiously not cheap appeal.

While rather basic, one can't really complain given that interior is in a car (the white Alto pictured by the OP) that costs $8876.14 USD brand spanking new. It's also rated to get up to 87 miles per gallon (US).

Those who want an upgraded version can seek the Alto Turbo RS.

It also has a better interior:

KuroNekko- Exactly! I prefer the simplicity of the cheaper dash, which I can't remember thinking about any other car before!
