Hello all,

Has anyone dealt with this code, I tried the obvious and changed the gas cap. I reset the code and still returns, gearing that maybe the cap is still the issue. This is on a 2012 S model.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I dont recognize the code you are listing here . P0456 is small evap leak that usually is gas cap not on tight enough or rust hole in filler tube .

7E8 is not an OBDII code, it is just a CAN message broadcast prefix. What scan tool are you using to retrieve the code?

The code of small evap leak is usually caused by a loose filler cap or rust out of filler neck at wheel guard. After a short test drive, pull wheel and sniff around filler neck . There should not be a hint of fuel smell. see " Cheap fix 16 filler neck" under technical advanced search for affordable repair
