I'll reserve my comments on the K&N filter, but I am interested in the rims.
Where did you get those? Specs? size? Cost? What tires?

Hey Alex, the rims were included in dealer deal. The dealer added a factory radio, tint, and the the alloys. The alloy rims are 16 inch X 8 and are actually
American Racing Mavericks. They were ordered from tirerack, com and cost around 115 a piece??? I couldnt live with steel rims so the dealer threw them into the deal. The standard Dunlop tires are mounted on them. The windows were tinted AFTER that pic was taken.

Be EXTREMELY careful here. Too much oil WILL foul the MAF sensor, and they are very easy to damage when cleaning, and very expensive to replace.

Of THAT, there is NO argument.

Per your wishes, I'll let the rest of it slide ...

Thanks man. I'll be honest, they look great. I am not a fan of 5 spoke rims, but these look nice, and the brake calipers in the front wheels look menacing. Even better, if they are just the stock 16 inches, I am salivating at a 17" or so.

Keep us posted!

well here is the story on the rims. I traded in a 06 Focus that a lady had taken the front end off in a crash at 20k miles . Ford fixed it but I was starting to have problems with it. I had just spent 1200 on the A/C and another 500 on a computer for the Focus before I traded it in for the Suzuki.

The dealer added alloy rims (no tires), stock radio (suprised by how nice it sounds), and window tinting to close the deal.

I wanted 17 or 18's but after being out 1700 on the focus I just couldnt pony
up the 900+ for some 17 or 18's + the cost of the Suzuki.

Plus I live in Texas and trust me, its mainly long, straight, slab driving. Twisties
here (rare that they are) can be handled by the 16's no problem. 17 or 18's
would have bben just eye candy I couldnt afford.

they will be replaced at some point (maybe) with 18's, but that will be the last thing i do. I want the RRM pulley more than the 18" tires.

Here is a pic of my black S in the grill. I used a table knife to carefully pry it out of the grill, cleaned it and let it dry, then sprayed it with Rust-Oleum BLACK LACQUER. The trick is to use the Lacquer paint! I also sprayed mine with clear Lacquer for shine. ****Be sure to trial fit the S into the grill cause a little bending occurs when prying it out, just re-bend it a little back into shape! Then use mounting tape, that double side 3M stuff to put the S back in.

***DONT SPRAY THE S ON THE GRILL, THE GRILL IS A BLACK METALLIC AND IT WILL LOOK FUNNY IF YOU JUST SPRAY THE AREA AROUND THE S.*****

Okay, so I replaced the middle muffler with a straight pipe & got little response, time to get a little agressive. Your GROWLS are inside the resonator just in front of the middle muffler. My muffler guy said it was a CAT but it looked just like a resonator to me. So we replaced that resonator with straight pipe & we now have a little growl. Not too much, but IMO just what the doctor ordered.

Cost was $30.00 and we now have a little growl. If you are going to do anything to the stock muffler system, replace the bulb just in front of the middle muffler with straight pipe. MPG now reads 32 mpg and the car has a little growl to it. I have installed a K&N filter, replaced the middle muffler and first resonator with straight pipe and the engine is running great!!!

Total cost so far 95.00. Well worth the price, believe me, well worth the price.

OK - TIME FOR A TIME-OUT EVERYONE. Someone contacted me and said they thought the Resonator I just removed in the prior post is indeed a 2nd CAT Convertor. SO what Iam going to say is this: NEVER throw away any part you remove from your car, It could save you some serious money down the road.

I did not get a Check Engine Light on my car on running it and the engine does pull with more power. The engine runs and idles great, so I feel the engine is running just fine. Knowing Suzuki , they build their stuff with a large allowance for performance mods built in. HOWEVER, I DO NOT drive it like I stole it, actually I am pretty conservative in my driving.

SO no matter what you do, do not throw away any parts. Put them in a box and up on a shelf, it may save you a couple of hundred dollars down the road!

Now, Party on Garth!

If it is indeed a cat, you and your muffler guy just committed a felony and posted on the Internet that you did it.

Just FYI

Well it looks like I will be going back to the muffler shop today & putting Cat#2
back on. Wouldnt want any problems from nunyazs now would we? No big deal, re-installed, no harm, no foul.
