disregard, I must be blind I see it. Weird though that it is a different size in and out.

Has anybody experimented with different mufflers vs. an entire exhaust system? Im curious because it looks like it has 3 mufflers from underneath.

Yup, there are three mufflers as pictured in this post. A quick and easy way to change the sound of the exhaust is to replace the center muffler with a straight pipe, which any muffler shop can do. I have no idea what this sounds like on the Kizashi though, but it is reversible if you don't like the result
Yes I have experimented with it. At first I took of the back two mufflers and it sounded like a Sti. I undid the resonator and this is the sound I got that and a high flow cat give you this sound. I get nothing but compliments every where I go.

Has any one just removed the resonator and kept the two stock mufflers?

No but I just re did my exhaust (had straight pipes before) sand found out there are two resonators one small one in front of of the bigger on took it out and put a single in and single out flowmaster in with 2 1/5 in pipe from cat back loud and quite it's a good I between. Miss the straights though
