Near 28 MPG. that's Pretty good no? With passenger or no? 65 mph on display? That's kind of unbelievable, since any local driving should drop that considerably, guess you were only counting highway

Just did another trip for Thanksgiving, got 33mpg calculated, 35 mpg on the display. Ran 70 mph for about 70%, 80 mph for the rest. Temperature was about 40° F.

Nice - 7.1l/100km. Got to be happy with that.

I'm glad that you are getting such good gas milage. However, that just confuses me. My 2012se is stock. How can you get 33mgp while I get less than 28? Your average speed was greater than mine too. Go figure

Mgp123, you don't happen to drive around with roof racks on all the time, windows down, aircon on, or carry a lot of excess weight in the vehicle?

Have you tried higher octane fuel? (Sorry if you've already mentioned this earlier :))

PS: You'd need to literally drive both vehicles side by side on the same roads, same day, same traffic, same loads, same petrol, same tyres etc etc etc.... before anything conclusive could be said about your vehicle's economy.

Oh, I just realized. You must have been going downhill in both directions.

I do have the manual transmission, but I doubt that would be 5 mpg difference. 40 psi in the tires, and it was on cruise control about 95% of that trip. Lots of hills, but they evened out, as much up as down. Well, I started and ended at my home, so I'm sure they evened out.

Style of driving matters hugely.

And IMO, break-in procedure can have an even larger affect on mileage.

Yours may vary.

Sry to revive this old post, i read every single post in this topic and i got to say they are all pussys xD (well im writing becouse im having low performance km/l(mpg)).

i buy a 2014 kizashi with 14,5k km (9,5k miles aprox) and i have 2 avg mpg:
- when i ride like a grandma i get no more than 21mpg (9km/l) (90% city)
- when i ride like an average person i dont pass 16mpg (6,8km/l)(90% city)

i have FWD and use 38psi on tires.

So plz , someone tell me how i can get the dreamed (dont know how some of you dont like it) 23-25 mpg *.* driving normally!!

Tnx in advance and sry 4 my english (am from Chile).
