I bet you could if you had five quarts in every gallon the way he does. Properly converted to US specs, that's about 31 mpg.

Engineer60 reported results in miles, mph and mpg and therefore I assume he'd converted properly since his posts are usually pretty thorough....my bad. As was once said, assumption is the mother of all f**k-ups.

This tank (Mobil premium) I got 244 miles until my gas gauge pointer pointed at the middle.

Yeh sorry about the confusion mate, but as we gave the world imperial miles, imperial mph and imperial gallons I only think in those denominations, not the smaller US bastardised gallons etc. ;)

Just finished my first full tank. Midgrade gas, AWD and A/C were hardly used and I didn't use manual mode at all. This tank was mostly city driving. 315 miles with an average speed of 28mph. The car said 24.6mpg, I calculated it at 23.5.

23mpg is similar to what I get in the city on 87 octane

I routinely see 27+ average mpg with my 2010 AWD...as Blackbelt commented, I can get the mileage into the mid-30's with "sensible" highway driving (no more than 60 mph, warm weather, etc.). I've always been impressed with the great gas mileage I get with the car. I'm coming up on 70k miles and am going to replace the spark plugs this fall...this has been a great car.

It looks like this tank will be a good one. 248 miles on the first half.

Have you guys noticed that the fuel gauge is inconsistent? I've found that the last half decreases a lot faster.

I'm currently road tripping through Oregon and have manually calculated an average of 28mpg so far on 87 octane, no AWD, two of us and a trunk full of crap. This is mostly 60mph cruising through curvy hilly regions and a day around Crater Lake.

I'll be taking the interstate back to Canada so I'll see how well the Kizashi does there. I'm hoping to break 30mpg but I'll probably hit rush hour traffic in some places

Yes! The first half always lasts longer.

That sounds like a great trip!

I'm sure you'll break that 30mpg pretty easily on the interstate, provided you don't go much over 70mph. :D
