since the kizashi sounds so good straight piped i have been looking at trying to get an electronic cutout.
i was thinking it might fit right here. i havent done any measurements or anything just seeing if anyone has a big reason to scrap the idea

That location seems like it'll fit but I'd try to fit it further upstream (before the second cat) if possible
Here's a clearer picture of the underside

When I look at the cutouts they look like they need about 3 or 4 pipe diameters of clearance off to the side, plus some up and down for the flange. Here is an example:

It looks tight further up from that spot. Why would it be better before the cats? Are you thinking performance? Im just in it for the sound, I don't think it will provide much performance gain either way.
The only way it is feasible for me is if there is plenty of room, i will not risk catching it on a speed bump or vibrating, I've dealt with that enough with my previous car's downpipe not fitting perfectly.

Actually, you could just replace the secondary cat with the cut out. I don't see another O2 sensor so it shouldn't cause any issues

I'd unbolt the exhaust at the flange right behind the second cat and go for a drive before investing much time or effort. I think you'll find it to be horribly loud. I've got an RRM exhaust and I had a glass pack added to tone it down.

This would be interesting. The problem I'd see is if any lights get thrown. I'd make sure it is after any and all sensors, that's for sure.
