well its been 10,000kms now with the BBK and all is well i can see why TRD recommended 19" wheel i had my winters put on and the weights woud hit the caliper so the useds smaller weights and more off them to clear the calipers. other than really bad brake dust on the car s front wheels i would say it is a successful mod i have taken them off a few times to inspect and measure with a dialcaiper both sides are even and i can brake much later in the corners.

yes i do agree it is compared to dedicated sports cars its not as harsh but to most other cars it is ruff i also had all 4 struts replaced under warranty like 2000kms ago all 4 started to leak and the car just didnt handle as nice and was not fun to drive then i started getting a knocking sound took it in and had all 4 replaced.

I just wish the car wasnt so slow i got my ass handed to me last night by a MB CLA. the CVT is just shit all around on the highway you floor it and it dont do much i have learned from driving the car give it full throttle then let off a bit seems like you get more bite out of the CVT doing this its almost like a slipping feel all the Nissan do it too i cant wait to swap in an EVO X powertrain once the warranty is done and car is paid off. also i put chrome 20s on the car this summer and got better fuel economy or so the cluster say by 1.3L per 100km took the wheels off and its back to 9.8 again

The rotors look so tiny with those wheels! What size were they?

That makes two of us (at a minimum). This car would be such a b@d@ss sleeper with all 4 wheels sharing 300HP or so. (Then again, I suppose that can be said for any cheap car with an EVO X powertrain thrown in it).

The brakes are great, sir. I'm betting that's a 14"/350mm kit? They do get swallowed up quickly inside of a 20. (Damn this car for having monster truck sized wheel wells). It's kind of that domino effect, where it takes 20's to fill the hole, 380mm rotors to fill the 20's, and a body kit to drag the skirt line back down so it's not 'four-wheelin'. And that's all a bit much on a $20K car, I suppose (which makes it all the more awesome??).

FWIW - I opted for 19's to avoid all this, but I'm not terribly enthused by how they sit in the wells. (As a reference my rotors are 350/330 f/r).

Say NWA, what are you running for rubber? 245/30?

Yup wheels are 20s also there is only 1 mont for the tranny that has to be moved over like 3-5 inches other than that is a direct swap my friend has an evo x and we put both on the hoist and took som measurement its almost identical to be honest even the driveshaft is the same but the rear diff is different obviously have to figure that out but 300hp to all 4 wheels is nice only thing i dont like is the EXOx is only 5spd

Im running 225/30R20 the wheels have a lip on the end of the spokes so i had to run a smaller tire 1st set wouldn't seat properly so i had to do the streched but if i park on the water curbs the rim actually touch the ground and scratched the very edge not really noticeable

So you put on larger , heavier wheels with smaller tires? The stock 18"s are already way too heavy and could use bigger tires. That's an awful lot of effort put into upgrading the brakes in order to go ahead and downgrade the overall traction available.

Good point Woodie no point upgrading to big brakes, car is already slow unless you put a snail which will benefit having an extra stopping power.
