Again, science vindicates Tim's choice to burn Top-Tier premium in my Kizashis.......(I especially enjoyed the section on "Knocking / Pinging" on pg 19).

Yet this is what it says on page 25:
4. Some consumers may associate gasoline quality with fuel grade (premium vs. regular) or octane number, which is a mistaken assumption. Motorists should use the fuel grade recommended by the vehicle manufacturer in the owner’s manual.

Testing in my Kizashi(s) provides evidence that the Kizashi can benefit from higher octane. Both in mileage and power delivery, mine seem to do better. I assume-but-cannot-prove our intake sensing and ignition timing are the culprits. Easy assumption.

The cleaning benefits of the top choices are already established.
