PedalBox+ increase throttle response (it works!)

I want to share my recent experience with this module that changes the map of our throttle pedal making the car response immediately.
When i got my Kizashi the first thing that actually comes since the day 0 was the lag of the electronic throttle making the car feels heavier than what it is. So i search and read a lot of information about our TPS and how to get rid of the lag or the slow movement of the fly.

I found three brands that claim to improve the responsiveness of modern-day vehicles.
Pedal Commander (us)
Sprint Booster (us)
Pedal Box (Germany)

The one i like the most was the Pedal Box PLUS a new version. I order one a few weeks ago and arrives the last friday.
The installation is very easy, just unplug the battery (optional) or wait 5min since the last running, unplug the original pedal wire harness and connect it to the wire that comes from the module, then conect the other wire thats comes with the module to the pedal (plug and play) then run the wire module where you want to leave it.

It comes with 4 programs, Stock, City, Sport and Sport+ and you can adjust the sensibility from 0 to +3 or -3.

I run it in sport+ mode, the traction control comes on every time since the car just jumps from 0. I want to make some 0-100km/h to verify if there is any changes on acceleration. This module will not give you any extra HP, only will give you instant acceleration response. So the car feels a loooot better and a 100% more fun to ride.

By far the best 200euros that i ever spend on my car.

I hope you like it or find it interesting.

Can you post a before and after video? I am really looking forward for this upgrade, the current response is really laggy. My 2005 Honda 1.5 had a quicker response.

Pretty slick. Thanks for the report. $376 USD + shipping for the AWD version. While it would be nice to have, think I'll have to pass. Just not worth 400 bucks. Should be a standard feature in all fly-by-wire systems. But alas, it's not even though it easily could have been since there are enough displays and buttons already in the vehicle. Would cost next to nothing for any manufacturer to incorporate via a little more programming.

My thought exactly. What is interesting about this is that you can make immediate comparisons. An ECU programming "fix" is so subjective that you can never really know. I had the ECU flashed on my SX4. Yup, I was one of those guys. I thought the lag was better but as time went on, I never knew for sure. You can never really trust the ol' butt for dyno or g-force measuring.

If you know how to shift you will have no problem at all. :drive:
Manual transmission are strong enough to hold just fine. There is no HP increase after all, just the reaction of the pedal/engine.
This weekend i will try to take some videos so we can compare. Now, how "I feel" the car now its other matter, way more reactive.

Im agree with you, should be a standard feature and the car will be a lot better just with this little add.
