Hey all,

Just picked up my new 2011 Kizashi GTS Sport AWD last week. I did about 3 moths of homework before purchasing a car suited for what I needed. I spend a huge amount of time on the road and needed an affortable, comfortable car loaded with the little things that make traveling easier.

I figure I will try to post the progress / performance of my car on a regular basis. I will probably be putting more miles on this car that the average person and will experiance the failures (hopefully not many) sooner than most.

So far I love this little marvel, comfortable, fairly quick, economical and it looks good.

I will keep you posted.

Sorry to report 1st problem.

2000 miles and I have (2) 1-2mm paint chips on the front hood.

I will be calling the dealership on Monday.

Fair enough.

I picked up my 2011 S AWD on Dec 23rd; it has at this moment over 9400 on it. Miles.....

I put its 'summers' back on it last Wednesday, and mileage is running around 27 MPG. Not bad for regular violent excursions past the 100 mark, and constant attempts to slide its back end. Their half-inch increase in diameter is keeping the bottom from sparking as much as the short snows allowed; good thing.

Pretty juvenile for a 56-yr-old, ay?

Going in for my 3,000 mile Oil change and I was informed over the phone that they are probably going to repaint my entire car. Don't know if I should jump for joy or be pissed off.

Other than about 12 chips in the front of the car, it runs great and I cant be happier with the overall car / performance. Paint...well if it comes back perfect and is painted by a real pro I will be happy.

OK...Had my oil changed and was told that the Suzuki rep comes around once a month and that he will have to guage the thickness of the paint.

My reply was "Whatever his machine says is irrelevant, my car has 3K miles on it in 2.5 weeks and the paint is chipping." The service supervisor says he can't do anything until Suzuki puts thier instrument on it.

Ask him to prove how thickness indicates adhesion.

They are totally separate factors in a good paint job.

We forgot to ask a basic question.... What color is the car?
I am just guessing Azure gray.
