Hello Kizashi owners.
We'd like to evaluate the performance of the factory Kizashi air intake system. If there are any forum members in the Chicago area that would like to participate in testing, please contact us. Once designed, we will provide a CAI system at no charge to those that participate.
Thanks

Oh darn - is western NC close enough ? Or, do you know of a test facility in NC that could run them for you?
Will be interested in the result of the testing, and if it helps with the design of a unit whose benefits are verified with tests - would be very interested in it.

Unfortunately, a digital scan is necessary along with an evaluation of the entire stock air intake system. This analysis will tell us how much restriction improvement can be gained and the resulting improvement in power. Our Chicago lab is the only place where this can begin. I'm confident we can create a very effective system in addition to providing a non oiled filter that provides extremely low restriction while actually improving efficiency over the OEM unit. It would be nice to have a local Kizashi owner participate. If not, hopefully we can look at it again down the road at some point.
Thanks

Not yet.
I know it's a long trip for you. I'm certain we could get it done on a Saturday.
Thanks

just my views on the restrictions are:
the two emissions dump cans on the bottom of the intake.
the piss poor air intake snorkle mounted by the front bumper (i really do not see how air flows into it efficiently)
my guess is there can be about a 5-8hp gain with this install but we will soon find out after xmas..
