Wheel change - yes or no?

Same size (both 17") but 7.5" wide (vs stock 7") and +45mm offset (5mm less positive offset, so they sit further out towards guards.) I'm considering refurbishing them and fitting 235/50R17 tyres.

The tyre on the wheel in the picture is too low in sidewall height/ profile (225/45R17). Visually the wheel appears smaller due to it's design, but they're a high quality 3 piece wheel that I already own...

No, leave the OEM rims on. just because I'm an OEM person but the others are cool.

Yes, I'm thinking I might sell them and buy something else. (Depending on if I can find something else in a suitable width/ offset.)

I'm swayed towards staying with 17" due to the substandard roads where I live - lots of rough sections on roads, manhole covers inline with the LHS wheels etc. Decent tyres are also cheaper and the handling should be more forgiving in real world situations (eg. on mid corner bumps.)

Yes, the decision has been made and I'm in the process of getting something else. I'm going to give 235/50R17 tyres a go with 17x8" ET48 rims.

It's a pity as those rims pictured were over $700ea when new (Simmons Alta). I bought them second hand for a good price- they suited the Mazda 6 we had. I'd put them on the Kizashi with the 235/50 tyres, but I'm better off leaving the current tyres on them and selling them on.

Okay, feeling poorer but happier.

2kg weight saving per rim/ tyre (even with the 1" wider rims and 2cm wider tyres!)

I'm waiting for the remaining two rims to arrive before I can fit them. :(

I like the wheels you decided on, (but not the black ones in the first pic) but I also think the Suzuki OEM's look great as well. Suzuki really did a good job with the wheels for the Kizashi...especially the SE/GTS/SLS.

I finally got them fitted on the Kizashi this morning. Definitely get 18" rims if looks are your priority.... I'll take a pic some time.

Initial driving impressions are good but I'll post more when I've driven further.
