I think chrome is a bit much. I personally like the black. Maybe it's because I'm used to it with my black Kizashi but I think coloring the bumper between the grills makes the grill look more like one giant piece and it reminds me of the absurdly large Lexus and Audi grills. Another factor in why I personally don't really think about this piece between the grills is because my front license plate is attached there.FrankoLaMoya wrote:Well I am thinking about doing it again this summer, but in chrome this time. What do you guys think? Do you believe it is worth it or I should just leave it like this ? Full chrome grill or just the upper and lower grills?
PS : The grill in the pictures above is grey and not chrome.
I don't hate the huge grills on Lexus and Audi models these days but they can pull it off because it's one solid piece. The Kizashi has that body color strip in the middle so that's going to change the look quite a bit when painted entirely. If you like the chrome look that much, I'd suggest painting just the grills and leaving the middle strip black. On a related note, my lower grill is chipping its factory metallic gunmetal paint quite a bit from the years of road debris kick-up. I think a repaint of the grills is basically inevitable as the Kizashi gets into high mileage.FrankoLaMoya wrote:That's the thing...I really like the Audi and Lexus grills...but I believe it would not be that nice on the Kizashi. I think the upper and lower grills in chrome look pretty neat, but it would be too much with the piece in the middle in chrome. I personally liked the black grill, but it looks better/stands out more with a chrome one (IMO)
PS Have you seen the grill on the new 2016 Lexus RX 350? What a big grill lol
