You shouldn't need a base coat for plasti dip, especially going from silver to gray. You also won't need a whole can per wheel, unless you're planning on doing the inside of the wheel as well. I had done mine at one point and I'm not sure if I even used 2 full cans, so maybe get 3 to be safe.

FWIW, mine made it through one winter. By that point, one had about a 2 inch chunk ripped off and another had a tear in the dip, and I decided to get them powder coated for the next winter rather than redoing them, and I've been much happier with that. The dip on my lower grill has held up surprisingly well though. It's been 4-5 years and I think there's only one small blemish, which is really impressive considering the abuse it takes from bugs/rocks/etc.

Thanks fot the advice.

On many videos about the Plastidip on YT, many people are saying that is a must to paint one rim with one entire can, to apply 4 to 6 coats which should improve its durabilitty.

Nothing can substitute real paint job, but if I want a paint job, then I have to wait 5 to 7 days until everythinh is done, plus its much more expensive.

At some point I am sure I will paint the rims, but the Plastidip seems like a good fast solution.

I just ordered 4 cans of mat grey, and when I get it done I will post some pics here...

Yesterday I finished plastidiping the wheels and I am partially happy with the results. 2 Rims turned out good, one is more or less Ok but the front right one is not so good. While I was spraying on the rimsN strong wind was blowing and it didn't allow the paint to slowly become dry. Instead he was pushing the paint left and right and it was sleeping through the spokes. I will definitelly have to redo that wheel. Anyone has an ide how to remove the plastidip on wheel the fastest way? Maybe sprayinh an alcohol and to try to peal it off?

Hey Nick, nice looking Kizashi!

Bit late in jumping on here but the colour for the alloys should turn out nice, failing that, getting them painted Black should look nice too, especially on a white car!
I like the debadged look too, something I've been toying with. Tempted to leave the S & move the Kizashi underneath it, or just remove that & the Suzuki all together!

Not sure where you are based but I had a 24hr turn around to get mine painted professionally in Inverness. Your car is Left hand drive so I presume you're in the states.

Look forward to seeing an Alloy update!

Hi Avanzo!

I also like the look of Kizashi in pearl white color, but the silver, dark grey and red looks great too. The only color i don't like is black. Even though black looks great when it is clean, it is very challenging to keep the car spotless, especiallt if you don't have a garage.

When it comes to debadging, as I allready mentioned, I am not a big fan of it. I like to keep the things stock maybe with only minor changes. I don't like the looks of every car, but when I really like how the car looks like I do like looks of Kizashi, I think that it's designers did a great jov designing the vehicle and I just have nothing to ad or remove it. Plain and simple, I like it stock. :)
Anyway, previous owner already debadged everything from the trunk. I decided just to put the S sign, because it looks cool only with S on the back. If I leave it all naked, the car will lose it's personality and I think it deserves one. :)
I mentioned in some other post, I am not from US, I live currently in South west Germany, so yeah... Kizashi is here probably double less rare car than in the US. Just 2 days ago somebody pulled on the parking lot to ask what kind of car is that and is it a new model. And it is 8 years old car, lol.

I like the black color of the rims on white but thay is what every orher white car has. I wanted to have something a bit different. Anyway, it doesn't look bad but the wind made my job way harder so I didn't do a good job on one rim. I will redo it surely, and maybe next summer when I buy new tyres, repaint the wheels professionaly....

I tryed to upload the pics via Android phone but it's just not working.

Most probably I need to transfer the pics to laptop and from laptop to upload on forum. Such a pain in the ass. Did anyone has similar problems?

Here I finally found the way to upload the pics from my PC. As I previously mentioned, I am not totally satisfied with the results of PlastiDip because if you look closer you will see that it is not perfect, and that is because I choosed the windiest day in a month to Plastidip the rims in open space. Anyway, as soon as I take some days off I plan to redo one or maybe two wheels. However I really like this anthracite grey color because most of the white cars have just plain black wheels. It is a bit different.

One more interesting thing about the Kizashi is that I just yesterday found out that my coworker at the Job also bought one Kizashi, haha! In the entire car market in Germany you can find maybe 30 Kizashis that are currently beeing sold, and from all these small numbers, it turned out that two Kizashis are driving two guys that work in the same company. :)

However, my friend is also totally suprised with the quality of Kizashi, how it drives and how it has a good fuel consumption when driven normally, and from the other side, when beeing pushed, how agile and quick the car can be. His is black colour, though....

Well, I recently put the winter tires on my Kizzy. I decided to stick within the factory recommendations and bought the 215 55 tyres for 17 inch rim from Suzuki Vitara. I think that the rims look nice, but the width of the tyre is a bit narower and that's what I don't like. It is a bit difference between 18 inch and 235 tyre width. The car looks a bit funnier with this narower tyres but nevertheless, I think these rims with black and silver polished spokes match up good with the rest of the car. ....

They do look nice on your white car. The thinner tires will do better in the snow, and might help with fuel mileage a bit.

You are right, but there where I live we barely have any snow in last years. World's climate has definitely changed and we are starting to feel it now...
