Is it just me or does the speedo reading seem wildly optimistic compared to the increase in speed shown in the videos eg. the increase in speed of the white lane divider markings going by?

I'm not too sure. I know that kind of power would be very difficult to put down in an old golf. Most of it is wheel spin. I don't think the frame was as good as it needed to be.

Holy crap that's fast. Wheelspin at 100 MPH with AWD? Doesn't even start working until 7000 rpm. Brutal.

I didn't see that it was AWD (it would sort of have to be for that kind of power). I don't think It came that way, but there is a conversion for that car. I would think you would have to make all custom stuff to make it strong enough to handle that kind of power.

There is another video of it beating a modified Porsche that shoots flames between gear shifts so I think it is probably real.

It would be interesting to see footage of it on an actual drag strip- and during the day. (As for the street racing, glad I live on the other side of the world...)

Edit: found this no mention of 400m times though. It's certainly very quick.

I love how it looks very much like a stock Golf- just lowered a bit with wide wheels.

Ohh, that's very cool. Needs to be updated, they're going back to six cylinders, but adding a 200 HP electric motor and battery pack.
