I like it, but I don't think it would cut it as a DD in most places.

Maybe if I lived where it never snowed and we had some mountains.

I was in a position to buy the original MX5 new, way back around 1989. I was single with no children etc to worry about. However, the miniscule boot- which was mostly consumed by the (space saver?) spare wheel- was a deal breaker. I later drove one a friend owned and it was a very nice thing to drive; but I found the windscreen wrapped around so far that it didn't actually feel like I was in a convertible!?
