Yes, aluminum makes me interested in the new F-150 especially since I can get the Z plan from Ford. I'll wait a year or two to see if they get the bugs out of the new drivetrain and body. Rust was a big reason I got my Oldsmobile Silhouette that is 20 years old now and still looks almost new. The whole body is plastic, but there is rust underneath though. I replaced all the brake lines this summer and may have to replace the muffler soon. I call it my Tupperware van. When I took it to a funeral we had a good laugh watching the funeral worker trying to find a place to put the magnetic flag on it. He gave up and got a flag to attach to the window.

I was excited to get keyless on the Kizashi. A few years before I saw a show where a BMW or Mercedes had keyless. The car automatically unlocked as soon as the fob was within 3-5 feet of the car and the car automatically locked when he walked 3-5 feet away. Didn't expect to have to push buttons to get in or out. Now after using it, having the car lock and unlock automatically would cause it's own set of problems.

One complaint is that the fob is so large. It is a big heavy lump in my pocket. The single key for my Corolla with my house key is so light and compact in comparison.

I worry about getting the fob wet and ruining it or breaking it by dropping it or stepping on it. Getting a new fob and finding someone to program it will be expensive and probably a hassle. Getting multiple keys made for the Corolla is cheap and easy.

My wife changes purses almost every day and many times forgets the fob. She has multiple sets of keys and rarely leaves the house without her keys. Her single fob is many times left in a purse at home.

When she does remember the fob and we go shopping she puts her purse in the shopping cart. When we come back to the car and she pushes the trunk(boot) button the purse is at the back of the cart, four or more feet, from the car and the button does not work because the fob is too far away. Then I get the "You Like This Keyless Stuff?" speech. After she turns the cart around closer to the car and opens the trunk or I open the trunk. She then tries to open the car door while the fob is in the cart behind the trunk and of course the door does not unlock. Then I get the "You Like This Keyless Stuff?" speech. I'm usually busy putting stuff in the trunk and when I hear the "You Like This Keyless Stuff?" speech I bang my head on the trunk lid.

So, me and the fob have not had a great time together unless I'm pulling the large fob out of my pocket and pushing fob buttons to avoid the "You Like This Keyless Stuff?" speech. Then I might as well have pulled a set of keys out.

The only time I agree with you is when I try to drive my wife's car and have to push the "memory 2" button before getting into the driver's seat. Since my wife is noticably shorter (almost a full foot) and likes to drive like a really hot female Mario Andretti (right up against the wheel with her forehead against the windshield), I can't even fit my slightly-larger-than-it-should-be butt into the driver's seat with it in her driving position. The only time I cuss is when I see the "info" display turn red and state "place key fob on ignition button" while trying to put the car into "on" mode so the stupid power seats will work! That was such an oversight on Suzuki's part since now I have to contort myself into an uncomfortable Yoga pose so the fob will be inside the car just enough I don't have to take it out of my pocket to change the seat position...
