Hoping to get a kizashi soon.
Have heard reports of paint failure - only from US.
Any one else heard anything. :D :D :D :D :D

Hear lots of things....I'll quote WESHOOT...."paint is still attached". Seriously, there were some issues early on, apparently, but I haven't seen or heard of any new problems lately. I guess it depends on if you're going for a used or a new Kiz. I have the same 3 chips I've had for the last year or so, and considering the roads where I live and travel that are always getting stone-chip and tar repaired, I'm ahead of the game w/ the Kiz compared to the Wrangler I got rid of.
Stone chips happen, it is what it is.

My 2010 fervent red Kizashi has been chipping down to the white base from day one, I have just clocked up 65,000 klms and the chips are every where over the car. I started complaining to Suzuki at the first service and obviously nothing has been resolved, they will not admit that this is a defect I have a letter saying on investigation that the car is driven on B grade roads sorry its your problem. How many other Kizashi owners have this problem in the Melbourne area? Need to show Suzuki head office actual cars and numbers to resolve this.

Could you get someone to do independant checks on the quality of the paint? Measure the thickness, hardness etc. It might give you some ammunition.

I am new at this I have put a couple of photos in showing the normal wear and tear of driving. I will be getting an independant check done soon and I will not give up pursuing this with Suzuki.

Like Ron said,

Early models(2010) seem to be the most prone. I haven't noticed many of the members with newer cars complaining at all.

That being said. We have a black 2010. It's had the same chip on the hood since a month after we bought it. All in all, can't complain.

2010 Kizashi SLS grey here - one of the models which purportedly had problems. Have had I think 5-6 very tiny chips altogether in 15k miles. Got a paint kit from Dr Colorchip and touched them up. Got lazy with the last chip or two and just dabbed with standard clearcoat. Will touch up in color later. The paint seems to have gotten harder as the car has aged - no chips in last 7-8 k miles.

 I would be very mad if that was mine.

Don't suppose you're a member of the RACV are you? If you are, you could try ringing their advice line and they might be able to suggest a competent place to test your paintwork http://www.racv.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/ ... dvice+line

Keep the updates coming and best of luck. Document everything because you might need to involve this organisation http://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/motor-ca ... warranties
