Hi Tamstaz,
Thanks for the heads up.
Lol we actually got the same car, I also got a Sports AWD in white, just turned 3 weeks old.
JUST BOUGHT 2012 MY13 AWD Sport .....
The car yard is still mucking me around with the stereo system. They told me they spoke to the custom audio fitting place - and guess what they hadn't!! Because I went down there and spoke to the custom audio place!!! so now its really hit the fan. They are now telling me that they are going to order in a rockford fosgate system and get it installed for me -bu they don't know how long it will take.....sounds like more B.S to me. I told them I want an email of confirmation on what they are agreeing to do -they said they would -and still no email. If i get nothing tonight - my boyfriend and I are going to the car yard and presenting them with the letter giving them 2 business days to respond -or it goes to consumer affairs. They just don't seem to get its the principal of the thing now -they told me it was in the car - it isn't - and telling me more miss truths about calling the audio place only confirms my point about them not doing what they are saying!! My excitement for the new car is fading badly due to this issue. : (
They're trying to wear you down so you'll give up. Document it all (dates/ times and who you spoke to) as they're digging their own grave!
I think they'll pull out of the full Rockford Fosgate system as it will be too hard for their techs to install. As I mentioned I'm 99% certain the wiring looms in the RF equipped Kizashi's are different (- that's after I changed the head unit in mine.) Even the Suzuki workshop manuals show the wiring colours, wire designations etc are different at the head unit end for the amplified RF system vs non amplified non RF system. The amplifier is located in the boot, so there will be an entire loom different from the dash to the boot. Those missing wires are most likely integrated into the main wiring loom and it would most likely mean striping the vehicle interior out to change the looms!? (But I could be wrong.)
I'm not saying it can't be done, just if they do it may be a dodgy miss match of looms cut and joined as that would be the quickest way.

The latest update - After several phone calls today - we finally got sent an email saying that they will install a Rockford Fosgate system, that it has been ordered and they will contact me once it arrives and get it installed (they even said they will come and pick the car up and return it to me) so I am happy to sit on that now - as I have it in writing....Relief - but not happy about the stress they have put us both through.
Another issue I have - I have managed to jam the ipod, cord and phone charger in the center console (the one in front of the the Auto shifter) and now it wont budge...any Ideas?

I did the same thing, accidentally closed the door and it didn't allow enough space to re-open. I just had to force it...be gentle, but push it in until it releases...it should release.

Thanks for your reply - it will be just my luck that I will end up breaking it!!fjroman2 wrote:I did the same thing, accidentally closed the door and it didn't allow enough space to re-open. I just had to force it...be gentle, but push it in until it releases...it should release.
after finding my first chip in the front of the bonnet after 1 week - have looked into the forum - and people experiencing problems with the paint work on kizashis.
Took the plunge and got the "opticoat" put on the car. From a private detailer who is licensed to do this work.
He walked up to the car and was looking then said "who washed your car" I replied "the dealer -before I bought the car" its only been a week and I had yet to wash it. He then proceded to point out the swirl marks on the boot and bonnet from the way the car has been detailed before I collected it. Was I pissed off over that!! He told me he would try and work them out of the paint. He spent nearly 3 hours on the car and Im wrapt with the result. I will post before and after pics - but he said you may not notice too much of a difference because its a new car - but I can - see what you all think (if I can get the pics uploaded that is!)

Hi D3lusion, Thanks for your comment. I got charged $413 for it. I did barter a little with the price -but he came to me and did the work -he even had his own water tank in the van -because hes fussy about every thing he does! He had to sort out the paint swirls and also did the wheels too, so I should notice a difference with the wheels getting so dirty and hard to get off. Im actually looking forward to seeing it bead when it rains - happy to post more pics then too. He did a great job and I think its money well spent
