Are the speakers always on?
I have noticed that when the power is turned on, even in accessory mode, there's faint static noise (not bothersome at all), indicating to me that the RF speakers are on, even without me turning the headunit on. Just wondering if other people notice this.

I have not noticed it, but I have not paid attention.
Curious: do you have the Bluetooth audio and/or the Bluetooth phone function on?
The speakers ring when the phone gets a call regardless of whether the stereo is on or not.

Yes I do use that function and yes the speakers ring even if other audio function is not on.
But I have noticed that the speakers seem to be always on upon powering the car regardless of whether the radio is on or if your phone's bluetooth is turned on. Just curious and want to see if other people noticed the same. Sort of wondering about unnecessary power consumption but I guess it's negligible.

The separate RF amplifier could be powered on whenever the ignition is "ON" (and not switched on/off with the head unit like you'd expect?) Could be to do with the Bluetooth needing the amplifier on in order to get audio to the speakers (as already mentioned.)

Yes... mine does it as well. I have the RF stereo.
Funny enough, the speaker static goes away half a second before I make a phonecall via bluetooth - like a short moment of silence before the ringtone comes on.
I figured it has something to do with the bluetooth system, didn't bother me, so I just lived with it.

I know it's available on other cars, but does the Kizashi have audio noise-cancellation using the stereo unit?
