Are you referring to the aux cable that you would plug into the aux port in the lower left corner of the front of the unit? If so, AFAIK the unit doesn't come with that cable--you just have to buy it yourself. I ended up buying a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable off the internet to plug into that port. Specifically, one that has one of the plugs at a right angle so that the cable doesn't stick out too much from the front of unit. Other than that, the car already came with a USB/IPod cable wired from the back of the unit to the glovebox. I have my old IPod plugged in there for when I don't want to listen to music off of the radio.

The one bothersome thing about the USB/Ipod connection in the glovebox is that--for the USB connection--the unit doesn't like USB flash drives bigger than 4GB. When I first bought the car, I had the wonderful idea of buying a 32GB USB thumb drive to always have plugged into the unit via the glovebox cable, so that I could store my whole music collection there. Unfortunately though, most of the collection was inaccessible--almost all of the folders on the drive were grayed out and not-readable, save for a few. Major bummer. However, turns out that IPods don't have this limitation, so I decided to take my old 8GB Ipod I wasn't really using and plugged that in instead. It doesn't store 32GB, but hey, better than nothing.

As for the remote, I also don't think it came with our Navi units. Like I mentioned, the Kenwood manual covers a lot of extra features that our units don't have, and I believe the remote is one of them. I bought the car brand new and never received a remote. I can't see why the dealer or the port installers would not include the remote with the car if it came with one--after all, the Kenwood manual I got came with all kinds of other wiring crap they ended up not using, so I don't see why they would keep the remote to themselves.

Besides, I didn't really care for the remote because as far as I'm concerned, the only people who would benefit from it would be backseat passengers. As a driver, I already have access to volume/tuning controls via the steering wheel, and DVD player controls are useless since you can't watch videos while driving anyway.

I seem to recall there being a thread on here regarding that issue - and what brands / sizes work and what don't. I think some people found you could get larger sizes to work, but the brand mattered?

Yep, that's the cable. I was afraid we were missing some things, but from the sounds of it, looks like we have everything that came with it. 8-)

That's strange that it won't read a usb over 4gb. That limitation doesn't make sense at all since FAT32 works all the way up to 32GB and beyond. How many files are in the root of your 4GB drive? I know there was a limitation with FAT16 of 512 root directory entries. If there's more than that in the root of your 4GB drive, that may be an issue, although technically it shouldn't be.

Make sure the system isn't in "dual zone" mode - that kills the subwoofer

After finding the 'wide' setting with some help from smsmart (thank you!), I discovered a whole new setting that may be the reason why my system doesn't sound as nice as everyone else's--crossover.

What are your crossover settings set to for the front, rear, and sub? I think this is why my sound has been so 'tinny'.

I guess my post from earlier today never posted. :(

Anyone know what the max volume number is for the navi unit? 31 is too loud for me, but im curious about the max.

I think something like 50, but I can't go over 27 or 30 without distortion.

Depending on how I set the eq, I get really minor distortion at 30. I'm sure if I would tune things down, I could easily get more volume, but that would probably lead to even more distortion. :(

What's your crossover and other settings? It would be interesting to try your settings. 8-)
