Glad you mentioned this. While you guys are installing your HIDs, might as well pop off the adjuster screw cover.

How far off was the factory setting? Just curious how much I have to adjust it

My passenger side HID bulb is not working reliably now. It may be time to take it out and test the bulb vs. the ballast.
Sigh. It's gonna be a pain in the ass. However, I was interested in getting higher quality HIDs anyways. I wanted to wait until my next trip to Japan to see what goodies the JDM had in store. If I can't wait, I'll probably go with Morimotos from VLEDS and maybe pick up the LED high beam/DRL kit then too. :geek:

I mentioned it in the thread, but the driver's side was overlapping the passenger side's beam. It was way off. Once you get your HIDs installed, adjust your lights against a wall.

Shitty. Let us know what failed and what you end up doing! Seems like most kits experience issues at some point. Hopefully my vendor honors their lifetime warranty

I'll check the alignment of my lights once I get the HIDs in

The Morimoto ballasts would have fit in the head light (I actually slipped it in there to be sure), but I was concerned about heat, how to secure it, and it was fiddly enough getting the bulb in there with all the extra space I did have!

Well, these are the ones that came with my car when I bought it used. The previous owner had them installed. The installation was done very well, but the actual product did not look too good. They are the cheap Chinese HID kits you typically see on ebay. They worked well up until now, but the passenger side bulb is not working. However, it sometimes works. I'm thinking this could be the ballast at fault as this on and off symptom occurred with my last HID kit that had a faulty ballast.

I have my doubts it's the bulb so I will probably end up getting a new HID kit to replace it. I don't think warranty even applies as I was not even the original purchaser and I'm sure the warranty is out by now if it had one.

I'm looking to replace it with a more reputable kit.

Wow, what a difference. Forgot to remove the L-R adjuster cover though

Where did you end up mounting the ballasts?

My driver's side halogen just went out a few days ago. :(

My fault as I turned off the car twice with the lights still on.
