Yes, get the right part before doing all that work.

Would the 2013 SLS comes with this new shocks?

Inspected my rear shocks while checking tire pressures and they look fine. No noises yet either. I don't like waiting for something to break before fixing it...

Look for evidence of sprayed fluid ( it will look grimy from road dust) on the control arm.

I doubt it. I'd say more the cars being made since late last year and on. Basically, Kizashis in markets where the car is still offered may have the countermeasure part from the factory.

Also, it's not the shock that has been modified. It's the rear bump stopper which is a part that sits on top of the shocks.

I'm in agreement with KuroNekko as the TSB covers model years 2010-2013. Looks like the 2013 will suffer the same issue. :(

Everything looked fine when I installed my rear sway bar recently. Maybe I'll go spray everything down with Pam and drive down a dirt road ;)

That had me laughing- being in another country on the other side of the world - I had no idea "Pam" was a cooking oil and not actually a person! Thank goodness for Google.

Sorry it took me this long, but here's a close up of what the countermeasure bump stopper looks like. Note the visible grooves cut into it.

I am also uploading a pic murcod took to show the original part on his car. Note that it does not have the grooves.

Comparing the grooves is the best way to know if you have the countermeasure part or not. Color also tends to be an indicator. My old ones were the same color as murcod's. My new ones are the same color as the countermeasure display in the TSB.
