Thanks Woodie, I'll fix it Monday and post the results, that sounds like the problem.

If by Kizashi luck you're referring to my wife's driving, then yes, yes I am.bootymac wrote:Yikes! I see you're suffering from that Kizashi luck as well. Our cars are cursed...

She did a very good job at parking, and can now find the 'sweet spots' faster than I can. Not a single ding on the doors.KuroNekko wrote:It could be other people hitting the Kizashi while it's parked. Nearly all of the cosmetic damage to my car came from other people, especially while my car was parked in public places like parking lots or curb-side parking. Everything from scraped bumpers, nicks, and door dings came from others.
However, that tear in the passenger seat... yeah... can't blame a stranger for that.
But the scrapes were definitely from contact with concrete objects. Nothing else makes marks that low or with that pattern.

Interesting. Do you know what the root cause was? Steve at Ray Chevrolet/Suzuki mentioned that some Kizashi's had a problem with the rear caliper dragging and causing premature pad failure. If it happened long enough, it probably caused the rotor warpage. I'd call Suzuki about it if you're under warranty. In fact, I'd call them even if you were outside of warranty to know what the fix is.glorybound4 wrote:My rear drivers side rotor warped and caused uneven pad wear. It is making an a low pitched grinding noise. My friend has a garage and was able to easily order the rotor from Napa 40.00 USD. The dealer wanted 153.00 USD to fix it. I'll do it myself and post the results.
Hey, who did this on their Kizashi?!? Pics please!joshuac2651 wrote:...I definitely want to do it the way the guy who baked his headlight housing; best way I've seen thus far.

You were right Woodie the caliper had hung up because of corrosion. I Replaced both rear rotors, cleaned up the calipers and mounted new pads. Easy job, saved the dealer cost thanks for the tip. Frank
