I'd like to change the tires that came from the dealer. Please give a real time tip and save me from an online info mistake.
I live in central Pa and have a steep lane that when it snows is difficult to negotiate. I'm not interested in high performance tires and an all seasons tire would be acceptable. I would prefer a "quiet" tread design. I read the tire posts and think good old hands on experience trumps my judgement any day since I'm not familiar with my this car yet, I just bought it last month. thanks

General Altimax Arctic are good winter tires: http://m.tirerack.com/tires/TireDetails ... max+Arctic
HIGHLY recommended, but they aren't as stable as regular tires above 50F in 215/60/16. I seriously considered Michelin xice3s, but at a higher cost.bootymac wrote:General Altimax Arctic are good winter tires: http://m.tirerack.com/tires/TireDetails ... max+Arctic
If you don't need the ultimate winter performance, the Michelins might be fine.
