Rear Shock failure issue and TSB & Warranty Repair

I'll do it myself, but I may not swap them on right away. My plan is to inspect the shock pistons to see if there is any noticeable corrosion in progress. If there is, I'll just wait until one of the shocks dies, and put on the new stops with a pair of new shocks. If the current shocks look good, then I'll swap the new stops in as a preventative measure.

I've got factory warranty left for another 18 months. I bought the new stops because I don't want to end up in the situation where I need the updated part, but can't get it promptly.

On the topic of these bump stoppers and shocks, it was discussed in another thread that German suspension maker KW makes a suspension kit for the Kizashi.

That kit comes with its own bump stoppers as seen below. The question is will these not have the same issue with the rear shocks? They do look different than the OE design that was faulty.

Anyone have this KW suspension set in their Kizashi? Must say the Kizashi in their sample picture looks gorgeous.

KW is highly regarded. Their V1 coils were the best I've ever felt. They went low and sporty but also comfortable at the same time! The V2's for the Kizashi must cost an arm and a leg...

I'll likely order the bump stops from America and pick them up in WA

The updated stops arrived today, in perfect shape. I need to check the rear brakes again this weekend, so I'm going to see if I can inspect the condition of the shocks with the wheels off and the suspension extended.

Can someone who has these new bump stoppers take detailed photos please?
Mine were installed by the dealership under warranty so I could only provide post-installation photos.
I know a number of members have ordered these countermeasure bump stoppers since this thread got started.

I don't like your chances - I tried to do the same thing last weekend when swapping the wheels over.

I think that the fact that I don't mind brutalizing the existing stops works in my favor. I may be able to slide the whole stop assembly down the piston. If not, I should be able to pull the boot off of the grove on the bottom of the stop, and slide it down to the bottom of the piston.

Yes, if you don't care about the current bump stops you should be able to see something.

The diagram shows what looks to be the new bump stopper but the photo shows a bump stopper that is completely different. Unclear if this includes the bump stopper or just the bellow and states it is for the front????
