Hey all!
I've been creeping the forum for some time while searching for the right Kizashi for me. I ended up grabbing a 2012 Platinum Silver 6-sp GTS.
I'm so glad to finally be in the "Club."
I haven't had much time to figure the car out, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. Set up my phone so far and have been reading the owner's manual thus far.
The only issue I have at the moment is the car only came with one key so I'll need to get another made and I heard that can be quite costly.
New Kizashi Owner 2012 GTS 6-SP
welcome to the forum.
Thanks All,
I fell in love with the 3 Kizashi Concept cars. Then the reveal of the production one with that metallic almond color sold me. Just recently acquired the guts to jump in knowing all the Suzuki bankruptcy and all that. Figure I may as well do it while I have the ability!
This is my first manual car and it's been patient for me learning on it. No fuss, it just goes.

I find the clutch on the Kizashi to be rather forgiving so I think this car makes for a good car to learn manual on. However, the shifter isn't as good as it could be. It's like the opposite of my former Mazda3 which had a firmer clutch that was easier to stall, but a much better shifter. I learned to drive stick on the Mazda3 and I think the Kizashi would have been a better car to learn on.DesRado wrote: This is my first manual car and it's been patient for me learning on it. 2011 Suzuki Kizashi Sport GTS 6MT (Black)
My experience with the 6MT Kizashi was that it was super forgiving and easy to use. I've stalled 90% of the half dozen or so other MT cars that I've driven, but I didn't stall the Kizashi, nor did I do a burnout by accident. The only other car that I've driven that had a clutch as forgiving as the Kizashi's was the clutch in my coworker's VW Golf GTI.

Welcome! Get that replacement key before it's tougher to do. A dealership needs to program it to the car. And with dwindling dealership support...
I have to do the same thing, but haven't had the time. How much was yours? I've been quoted just shy of $300 for the key and reprogramming.DesRado wrote:I did, I did.
