

It looks like a leak between the transmission and motor housing. I'll be bringing it in to the dealer tomorrow!
This is actually the drivers side. You can see the inner CV joint connecting. I thought the same too, but the oil fill and filter is on the other side. At the dealer now waiting diagnosis.Ronzuki wrote:Which shield is that? If it's the passenger side one that remains in place after removing the one to expose the engine oil drain plug, then it's likely residue from oil changes. When the filter is removed, the oil can run down the block, land on that particular shield and pool towards the rear of the one that remains in place. I always clean mine off before reinstalling the one that gets removed for the oil drain.
