I have a 2010 manual prestidge with 150k
I have 2 issues
1/ then engine goes like a dog
It shutters while driving ( idles ok)
It stalls easily unless it gets plenty of revs
I had a kizashi before abd this one is nothing like the previous
I need to get it serviced possible plugs/ leads/ fuel injector issues
Not sure if anyone near wollong is an expert on these cars

2/ suspenions
The car feels dangerous on a straight road
It wanders and does not like the initial turn in on a corner
Tight corners are good
Not sure if its a faulty shock or if bushes are gone

Also can you put a after market air intake on it??

Thanks

Welcome Ken

1 could be hundreds of things, except plug leads, we don't have any. LOL Could be as simple as a dirty throttle body or MAF sensor. I'd take it to a dealer.

2 could also be many things. With 150K (I assume that's kilometers) you could very well have worn out ball joints, bushings, struts and shocks. My 2010 wandered pretty badly when I got it, an alignment tamed that. The alignment specs have been changed since the early cars were built, if yours has never been done then that may be the problem. There's a known problem with the rear shocks, many of us had to replace them before 50K kilometers.

You can put an aftermarket intake on it. Just like any other car, the effect is going to be negligible. The fresh air intake it came with has been designed by Suzuki for reliability and keeping the rain out and it flows just fine. At wide open throttle above 5,000 rpm a more open intake might gain you 2 to 3 horsepower. My car has been in that situation about ten times in it's entire life, and by definition that situation can't last more than one second.

It's hard to say just from the symptoms, but it may just be the product of neglect of maintenance by the previous owners. At that kind of mileage, it's due for new spark plugs so I'd start there. Check all filters too and intake related components that Woodie mentioned.

As for the handling, it may be that the shocks are out which wouldn't be surprising for that mileage. Better take it to a pro for diagnosis.

And lastly, I personally think an air intake on this car is a waste of money. They're only arguably worth it if you also modify the exhaust along with it. The Kizashi simply doesn't have enough aftermarket parts to really justify the investment. Just keep the original air intake clean and replace the OE air filter at regular intervals.

Once you properly maintain the vehicle and get it running well, I think you'll enjoy the car more as is.

To complete the basic maintenance along with the other suggestions, maybe have a look at the PCV as well. Pull it, clean it, replace if necessary.
