Hey folks,

I just want to share my experience real quick. Not a big deal. I was going down a hill yesterday and the light at the end of it had just turned red. I decided to put it in neutral for approximately 30 seconds. After 15-20 seconds, I saw a light in the dash indicating ''Hill Hold Disable'' and the engine light was on. The cruise control was not working. I thought ''well not a big deal, it will reset when I start back Kaiju''. I stopped at a store to buy some things. When I started the car, the message was gone, but the engine light was still on and the cruise control still not working. I took a drive later on (2 hours afterward) and same thing (engine light on + cruise control not working). At that point, I thought ''well maybe I will have to go to the garage to check this''. When I started the car this morning.. all gone and cruise control is working! If it happens to you ...don't panic... just wait a day or two. Have a nice day!

I think the computer will keep the fault until three fault free drives then it will clear.

My check engine light is on along with the traction light and it’s also saying hill hold disable. I recently had to change the positive wire that goes to the battery so I guess when you unplug the battery these lights come on but I’m not sure how to reset them myself and they have not went off by themselves. the lights have been on for a couple days now! My car drives funny because of the traction light and there is no videos what so ever on YouTube on this type of car which is weird ! I have a 2010 Suzuki Kizashi! Help

Disconnect your negative battery cable and then go inside and step on the brake pedal for a few seconds. A few minutes later, reconnect the negative cable after checking to make sure the positive cable to the battery is on securely and attached properly.

I just discovered this thread and we run into this exact same issue when the temperature is just in a certain range or when the wife has parked the car at the train station while at work. I've discovered in our case it is related to temperature, but that's all I've figured out so far. It seems like a wiring issue that is only an issue when the wire gets cold and contracts just enough to lose proper contact.

Hi, were you able to resolve the matter? I am having the same issue. Its cold, snowed recently, and humid. I get these warning ligjts and messages on every cold start. I just changed my battery recently.
