How long did your OE battery last?

Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

My '13 @ 32K miles suffered a dead battery this morning. I jumped it and it seems to be charging okay. I'm thinking I left a door ajar and ran down the battery. Got me thinking, how robust are these OE batteries?

I am currently at 63 000 km/40 000 miles (2012 model/4 years) and the battery is still running strong.

My first Kizashi went 164,370 miles on its original battery. My 2012 Kizashi is over 62K miles in its original battery. I admit I keep the alternator spinning pretty hard.........

About 3 years and 30,000 miles. 2nd battery lasted 3 years and 70,000 miles. I live in Texas and it gets hot in the summers.

What brand is everyone replacing their OE batteries with? I'm a 2012 w/ 36k miles, still on the original.

The Exide Extreme is $89 @ Home Depot

My OE battery seems to be fine after the jump start. I must have left something ajar/on.

Usually in the NE batteries last 5 years or so. Except for my Honda OE batteries. 3 years max on my Accords and Pilot.

I'm thinking of replacing my battery. I had it checked at Autozone & O'Reillys in the summer of 2017 and both testers said I needed to replace the battery. I was helping my sister-in-law get a battery for her car (@ Autozone) since the guy brought the tester out for her car and my Kiz was right next to it I had him test mine. The battery was starting my car just fine so I stopped at O'Reillys the next week and I had them test the battery again and that tester also indicated the battery needed replacing. So I went to Home Depot since I had I gift card I could use to for a battery and found that they had some Black & Decker portable battery boost packs/jump starters clearance priced for $11 that I bought instead of a battery. Now 1 1/2 years later I'm still using the OE battery but noticed last night that when I had the bright lights on and slowed to a idle the lights got noticeably dimmer. Now I'm wondering if I'm stretching that 8 year old battery too far. It still starts the car with gusto but < 20 degree weather is coming quick. Am I risking the electrical system with this old battery? Is anybody else still using the OE battery?
