2010 Kizashi owner here with 106k of mostly trouble free miles; bought it at 14k miles, some insight...
Steering wheel lock issue- When you get the dreaded “Turn wheel...” push the start button to turn off the car; then open the drivers door to engage the steering wheel lock, hold the wheel or jiggle it while closing the driver door. Should start no problem.
Replacing TPMS sensors- Get them replaced; as they are probably due by 2019. The tire shop put in VDO Redi-sensors in mine. Tell them don’t worry about programming (they probably have no clue how anyway- or the Suzuki tool.) Get the EL-50448 TPMS trigger tool on Amazon for $15 and follow the drivers door button procedure on this site, complete as described and voila.
I’ve had complete success. Love my Zuki!!!

Nice to know its still going strong without trouble
kizashi 6mt black
Needing new tires this fall/winter and was thinking nearing 10 years is time to replace the sensors. My luck I'd get the tires put on and then a month later I'd have to pay to dismount and rebalance all over again.Scotty499 wrote:Replacing TPMS sensors- Get them replaced; as they are probably due by 2019. Seems there are a bunch of the same p/n on Amazon...
Is this the EL-50448 you are referring to?

or this one:

or some other one in particular....
thanks!

Low Tire Pressure warning activated in my car for the first time ever this morning. Tire pressures are right where they always are. Jinxed myself...and yes, holy crap, unbelievably annoying.
Going to try putting some additional air in here at work in hopes it'll extinguish until I park it for winter.
