Original flex is a 2 1/4 id X 8 in welded in. Fastest cheapest quality repair is welding in a 2 1/4 X 10 flex . Bosal carries these. When replacing an original, you should keep the same length or longer of flex section. Many times i have seen the big name stores sell a shorter flex (4in) with added collars to customers and then it fail prematurely. Done right it will last. I can get that part no. later if you need it

10 in flex Bosal 265-335
8 in flex Bosal 265-333 you would need a piece of 2 1/4 pipe 1 1/2 long to make it work. Either pipe shouldnt be more than $15

Thanks for this info... https://www.carid.com/bosal/inner-braid ... l#warranty It doesn't say if it's Stainless Steel or not.. assuming it IS. What about welding it on, thinkin the welds should be stainless ? I'm replacing this part on my Kiz for the 2nd time now...and pissed off about it. I want this one to last. (the welds actually were not the problem this time---- the cheaper, aftermarket...NON-Stainless Flex Pipe the shop used, blew out, right in the middle... from corrosion....never touched anything) ttshh

Really want to confirm if the Bosal flex pipes are 300 grade stainless steel or 400 grade. (Trying to get a flex-pipe that is 100% T304 or some type 300 grade stainless) I finally went with this one: I guess I'll need a couple little pieces of 2.25" pipe T304 stainless pipe to have welded on the ends...? The last time I had my damaged (from scraping the pavement in a parking lot that's a crooked nightmare) the shop welded in a bellow...and sure enough- it got all rusty and worn out and is now leaking again. Hopefully the 8" long one I got from Vibrant is the last one I have to have welded in during my ownership of the Kizash. Ahh

I REALLY like these even more durable TurboFlex pipes from Vibrant with interlock liner...but the smallest inletoutlet diameter they're available with is 2.5" so I went with the "double braided" StandardFlex (w/ braided inner liner)...hope it holds up. I will take a pic of the p.o.s. bellow that Monroe or whichever shop repaired it when the oem piece got punctured installed and post it so you know what NOT to install if you ever encounter a leak in your flex pipe.
