I plan on taking my Kizashi in tomorrow for an oil change after >5000 miles but 11.5 months since the last one. I probably should have taken it in sooner. I have Pennzoil Platinum in it right now, plus a filter good for about twice as many miles as I put on, so 12 months isn’t too bad... But I do a lot of short commutes which isn’t easy for the oil or engine, hence why I’m feeling a little guilty about waiting this long. I have another jug of PP and a different filter that should work just as well, without the paranoia of whether a Purolater ONE will fail at some point (which so far has been good to me, but I’m not willing to tempt fate anymore).

Also plan on doing a tire rotation.

Eventually I’ll get around to spark plugs and brake fluid, since I’m past 60k miles and the brakes squeal mildly almost every time I use them for the first time after start up.

No major repairs...the most reliable, least fussy car (except for headlight bulbs) I've ever owned by far! I did have a radiator cap stop holding pressure, that cause some weird issues until I figured that out. Otherwise I follow maintenance recommendations except for:
1) I have been doing extended oil changes (controversial I know)...up to 15K miles/1 year. Synthetic oil and long life filter of course. I've sent in oil samples on occasion to independent oil lab, so far have indicated no issues at all.
2) Serviced CVT first at 95K miles, fluid and filters. About to do fluid exchange after 30K additional miles.
3) During spark plug replacement at 120K miles, found Head Cover gasket got brittle and was leaking oil into spark plug tube. Replacement of gasket was easy peasy!

That's about it! Still on original front pads even. As it is getting older, considering updating suspension parts but I can't think of much else to do!

Thanks! My son and I have also been hauling our Mt. bikes up there as well. Some trail heads are a little difficult to get to with the low ground clearance however. Might have to take the Nissan Armada out more on those trips!

Got some new shoes for Kitsune today, who just crossed 63K miles over the weekend. I picked up a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+ tires from a guy I found on the Facebook Marketplace that says he's put less than a 1000 miles on them. The tread on them looked superb, and I was able to pick them up for $50 apiece, which is a freakin' STEAL! I still had to buy two new tires from Discount tire, but still saved about $400 overall, and now Kitsune feels like a brand new car: quieter, smoother, grippier, less body roll in hard cornering and even a little faster. I wonder if the ECU was detecting how much the old Goodyear Eagle LS2's were slipping and constantly cutting power while I would try to accelerate in the middle of a sweeping turn. She still has a tendency to understeer though.

I'm taking Kitsune to a proper frame/alignment shop tomorrow, and gonna see if they can give me a little toe-out on the fronts and a little negative camber/toe-out on the rears to help with the understeer. So we'll see how that goes.
