Last weekend, I did what most North Americans who survived the "Polar Vortex" did on the first warm weekend: wash their car.
You should have seen the car wash lines around here. I'm so glad I can wash mine in my driveway. Anyhow, I after rinsing the caked-on salt residue and dirt off my car, I noticed an unpleasant surprise: a scratch on my front bumper. Mother Fu....
It obviously looks like someone backed into my car sideways or something. I merely could not see it until the salt residue was off of my car.
So pissed off.
Anyhow, I did what I could with the touch-up paint I got a while ago. I didn't want to make an insurance claim given the damage was minor (scuff marks and scratches) and did not want my car in a shop.
It looks a lot better, but still pissed that people suck at driving/parking and hit other people's cars. You have no idea the lengths I go to to park away from other people yet I still get hit. DC drivers...
If you love your car, stay the hell away from this city.
Anyhow, here's the before and after.

What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?
Thanks.bootymac wrote:There's that Kizashi luck again![]()
Nice work with the touch up paint though. Barely noticeable!
It's more noticeable in other angles, but not unless you are close. The touch-up wasn't the best job but it worked and looks a lot better than before.
It sucks when you do your best to care for your car and someone else just carelessly damages it. I got to be more relaxed about it as these things are inevitable but it's hard when you really like your car and want it to last a long time and look good doing it.

The dust cap just comes loose. Fixed it myself in about 20 minutes.glorybound4 wrote:My recently purchased 2010 SLS fosgate rockford sub woofer has a rattle. I phoned the sales manager. This is the 5th Suzuki I bought from them. They're great cars. He's going to contact me today. The speaker is difficult to remove having to take apart the whole rear window liner section. I have the Zurich insurance plan so it may pay for it.Since I only had it a week the dealer may take responsibility for the cost. My son has a Mitsubishi Lancer GT and I prefer the Kazashi, it's just as fast, handles comparably and has a nicer interior. No wing, but I don't plan on going faster then 180 mph ha ha. Anybody's speaker ever need replaced?

I've seen these, but my understanding is that they prevent your car from scratching others when you parallel park and hit the car in front. It's basically so your license plate bolts aren't the foremost thing on your car.krell wrote:You need this, it work for me in NYC
I'm sure they still help a bit in situations like mine as they create an extra buffer zone before the actual bumper, but I can tell the car that hit me was going perpendicular to my car because of the scratch marks.
