Ouch ooch crunch WTF?
Was being a gentler kinder driver yesterday but it still didn't help; I've (finally) destroyed the driver-side underbody tray and it's dragging and scooping up snow/dirt/etc.
I'll try to get some pics.
I'll definitely be ordering a new one.

114 days; Part II
I wish our market would have metal skid plates for sedans more readily available. The Russians make a number of them for the Kizashi. I used to have a US-made skid plate for my old Impreza but that was only because of the car being popular in the rally scene.WESHOOT2 wrote:Ouch ooch crunch WTF?

The only skid plate I can find for the Kizashi is a Russian one:

2025 Mazda CX-50 Preferred Hybrid
2011 Suzuki Kizashi Sport GTS 6MT (Sold)
2011 Suzuki Kizashi Sport GTS 6MT (Sold)
If perhaps I were able to decipher Russian I'd have found out some time ago that they haven't a US distributor, and the cost direct from them too high for me.
So for about $150 I can get a new one and put it on myself. With help.

It's against Vermont law to operate your vehicle with its plate obscured........but it doesn't get enforced often (because the cops run the same roads).
However, it makes it really difficult for the terrorized citizenry to ID me

Well........
The Toyo tires are proving to be exactly what they claim: High performance winter-rated tires. Not more than that in either direction.
They howl when pushed hard, even under extreme braking
So far, I'd rate them "fair" as actual snows, but I'll be getting more testing opportunities soon enough (as in, before I wear them out howling around paved corners, peeling off 5,000 miles of life each run 'down the mountain').
Happy with my used tire purchase.

There's probably some law against driving 110 MPH with said plate obscured...WESHOOT2 wrote:It's against Vermont law to operate your vehicle with its plate obscured........but it doesn't get enforced often (because the cops run the same roads).
