Hi Kizashi Fam, so I was thinking painting right below the line on the sideview mirror black. What do you guys think? Also, I was wondering if anyone has added tabs or use the same tabs? Is there something to be removed from the back that makes it function or you have to purchase a new tab? My car shows it has traction control but when I press it nothing appears on the dash or anything. Anyone had the same problem?

It's a 5 second hold for traction control to turn off once off simply hit it again and it will instantly turn back on

ah, I had pressed it for a while but it was probably less than 5 seconds. Ill try it. I think it's off because I never feel it being used. Yes the paint idea could look good. Plus I have some minor chips and scratches on the driver side. I want to paint the grill and S black as well to match.

Traction control is always on unless the light is on in the instrument cluster. It takes a lot to activate it though. I was slipping a lot accelerating in snow on the stock Dunlop's and the traction control rarely kicked inDthrill_08 wrote:ah, I had pressed it for a while but it was probably less than 5 seconds. It's already been said, but the traction control/stability control is always on by default. The button is there to manually override it and turn it off. The purpose of this is mainly for rocking out of mud, snow, or sand in which wheel spin and momentum is necessary.
Other than these instances, it's best to have it on, especially in normal driving conditions.
I too have used the override in the winter when I was stuck in snow as my car is FWD. It's about the only way you can get the wheels to spin and get the car rocking back and forth to have the momentum to get unstuck. However, once I'm out, I turn it back on.
I've also turned it off once to get some wheel spin when I was accelerating from a stop. This is how I got my Kizashi's tires to chirp even in 2nd gear.
Regarding the mirror; I think they look fine as they are.
