2011 SE AWD PLATINUM SILVER W/RRM INTAKE AND CUSTOM CAT BACK
Yes, thanks very much for taking the time to share the info!
Interesting that the Sport GTS and Sport SLS have a different shock p/n from the earlier GTS & SLS models which is the same as the S and SE. Guess there's more to the 'Sport' models than just the good looks. I wonder what the exact difference is....

Oh, you didn't know the Sport models actually have different suspension? Suzuki even dropped the height 10mm for the Sport models. It's not only cosmetics.Ronzuki wrote:Yes, thanks very much for taking the time to share the info!

Another thing: The wheels on the Sports models are 2 lbs lighter each compared to the older 18 inch wheels on the older GTS and SLS.
I read about these facts in more than one source.

The '10 & '11 GTSs & SLSs do have the 10mm lower suspension as compared to the same model year S/SE...I was wondering what the difference in the shocks are between the earlier, non-sport, models and the sport models. Probably the valve tuning is different. Didn't know the newer wheels were 2lbs. lighter which again, indicates a possible valve change in the shocks to dial everything in.

Thanks for posting these!
I'm going to go have a look at my shocks - my RR shock only squeaks/chirps in the cold (or at least that's when it's loud enough to hear in the car). If there's corrosion, I'll get it fixed this winter

Since these are issued formally, does that allow us to have them updated when we bring the car in for service?

only if they find a problem and only if you're still under the bumper-to-bumper 3yr/36k warranty.

so, best course of action is just to have them check those out...my car is a 2013, with 10k miles on it.

Unexpectedly had this TSB done this afternoon. I was going to be in the area of the dealer today and had planned to pick up a few Samurai parts I had ordered months ago last time I was there after my appointment. Mentioned to my service manager about the minor squeaks from the back on cold mornings this fall and referrenced the TSB (which he was aware of). Not reproducable w/ todays very warm weather. Once he learned I was less than 600 miles away from the 3yr/36k warranty expiring and knowing the weather is going to stay warm for the near future, he said he'd change everything if I had time since they stocked the parts. An hour later I was on my way with $588 worth of work covered in full thanks to NYTQ and my zuk service manager. The upper parts of the shock rods were beginnng to corrode, so it fits with the TSB. The new parts installed were exactly as pictured. I could not believe the amount of dried crude that was falling out of the wheel wells from above the shocks behind the inner plastic well cover when the techs were using their impact guns on the shock's upper mtg. bolts....there were two sizeble piles on the floor.
