What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?
Went to the shop today to have new tires put on for the winter and had them take care of the oil. Last week my passenger side headlight went out so I replaced it, of course with no issues whatsoever. I'm sittingin the waiting room and they come to me and say that my driver side is out now. $25 to replace or $10 since I had another bulb in the glove box. I said, "ok, make sure you drop the bumper to do it." They didn't listen.
I finally left 3+ hours later.
Their computer said 2.2 hours to change the driver side bulb.
.4 hours for the passenger side.
Had they only listened to me...
On the plus side, they comped everything except my tire disposal, so $20 is way better than $135 and well worth sitting for a couple extra hours on a snowy day in Chicagoland.

Drove mine 350 miles on 10 gallons of gas. The trip back from Thanksgiving, I got gas as I was leaving so the car was warmed up and I was near the highway. Then pretty much locked the cruise on 70 mph, two quick stops.

Not bad Remav! Did you think of removing the S? There would still be a S shape, but in black at least..

What did I do today....I bought 4 used Michelin Xi 3 tires (60% thread left) for next winter (possibly this one..my Xi 1 does not have a lot of thread left on them). The guy was asking $450 and I got them for $350 (canadian). Last week I bought 4 used wheels for next winter...I do not like mine that much. I bought some Ikon Double Vision wheels...I believe they will look pretty nice on my black Kizashi. I also bought 4 used Michelin Primacy MXM4 (70% thread left) 2 weeks ago for next summer. Yes I do plan in advance...but all great deals! The guy for the wheels was asking $300...got them for $225 (yes they are not in mint condition, but I will do a few touch ups) and the guy for the Primacy tires was asking $400..got them for $300. I paid $875 (Canadian) total, but I will be good for at least 2-3 years and I will sell my current wheels for $250-300

Rear brakes at 45000 miles. Not the most even wear on all the pads either! Overall, the driver side was worn down the most. All parts seem move freely, no pads were worn crooked. Glad I did it when I did, the outside pad was worn down to dust! While the inside pad, you know, the one with the wear indicator that squeals to let you know when your brakes are worn...ya, that wasn't worn down quite enough to activate that squealy thing!
Resurfaced the rotors. Went with SP Performance pads...Thanks Weshoot2 for the reviews.

My company's holiday party was this evening, and there was complimentary valet outside the venue. I left Azumi with the valet because I don't have anything of value you in her, I'm not terribly familiar with parking at the venue, and we proceeded to enjoy the party. When we came back outside to peruse the local shopping center, I realized that the valet left my car right out in front where I dropped it off for everyone to see instead of hiding it in the back of some parking lot with the rest of my coworkers' cars.
Despite the minor hail damage, the road rash on a couple of the rims and me not giving Azumi a proper bath in ages, in the dark of night, the valet apparently thought that Azumi was worthy company for the Maserati that was parked right next to it.
When I went to pick it up, one of the valet guys was surprised when I told him he didn't have to go find my car because we were standing right next to it. A couple of the other valet drivers seemed shocked when I told them it was a Suzuki, and they mentioned that they don't see Kizashi's around very often. Seeing as how we were in a ritzy part of the wealthiest county in Kansas at the time, I'm sure they were more used to seeing luxury sedans and imported sports cars.
It still astounds me how much this car seems to hold up aesthetically and functionally against cars that cost two, three, even four times as much. I'm pretty proud of my Kizashi right now.

KansasKid ...That is pretty nice|!
It does not surprise me that much in a way. It probably happened to me 10 times already at the car wash. My rear is debadged and every 2 or 3 months, there is a stranger coming at me to ask me if it is either an Audi, a Lexus or a Mercedes...and I am very proud to say that it is a Suzuki! I would be proud if it was a Lexus too, but not Audi or Mercedes (not reliable after 3-4 years of ownership)

I took this one yesterday. As I drove by a private community's clubhouse I noticed that they had just put up their Christmas Decorations. I had to U-turn & take my chances that no traffic showed up as I snapped off a few. Anyway, I kind of picture your story looking something like thisKansasKid wrote:My company's holiday party was this evening, and there was complimentary valet outside the venue... ...When we came back outside to peruse the local shopping center, I realized that the valet left my car right out in front where I dropped it off for everyone to see instead of hiding it in the back of some parking lot with the rest of my coworkers' cars.

Merry Christmas! (to everyone who appreciates that sentiment as I do!)
Happy Holidays (to the rest of ya!
