Re: How to change manual transmission fluid
Furthermore, I also flushed my clutch and feel this has made a difference. The clutch as has much more retardation, which seems to facilitate for quicker shifting. I can post a short tutorial with a couple of pictures if anyone is interested.

Re: How to change manual transmission fluid
Just dropping in to thank Kuronekko for posting this tutorial. I used it as a guide to perform my own transmission oil change and she shifts much better. The oil change has minimised my second gear transmission rubbing noise. I did not go the 75w90 route because Redline oils are expensive in Austral...

Re: Kizashi maintenance parts and fluid list
Those two Ryco filters may also have different specs eg. the oil bypass valve may operate at a different pressure, the filter media area may be different, the oil drain back valves might be different? Something that bolts on might not be the correct specs. This could be a possibility, but I've cros...

Re: License plate lights
Did you remove the boot lid interior carpet and do it from the inside? It is a pain to change them - the whole assembly they're housed in is a very strange design with tight access. Yes, mate. I removed the boot lining, unplugged the wiring, and then tried to remove the black hard plastic cover tha...

Re: License plate lights
I just replaced my right hand side license plate bulb. The black housing giving access to the bulb was a f**king chore to remove - so much so that I had to use a screw driver to pry it open, leaving screw driver marks on the housing. Did anyone else resort to this or am I just weak?

Re: Kizashi maintenance parts and fluid list
Also, for the Aussies out there, there are two Ryco oil filters you can use - the Z734 and the Z386. The Z734 is recommended in the Ryco catalogue, but it's expensive at 25 AUD per filter. The Z386 is much cheaper at less than $10 per filter. I found out through cross referencing the K&N filter ...

Clutch oil reservoir
Hello,
Could anyone tell me the location of the clutch reservoir on the Kizashi? Was thinking of changing my clutch fluid, as well as gearbox oil.
Thanks!

Re: Paint problem
Washed my car today and found some more chips on the bonnet and both front doors :x Seems like the paint is so weak, it chips when you look at it the wrong way. Will be attempting to lodge a warranty claim but won't hold my breath on them honouring it. Had a 2003 Camry with 140,000kms that had less ...

Mate, are you based in Sydney?
We should take some pictures of the chips and compare.

Re: Paint problem
No warranty claim yet, but if it gets worse, I'll be lodging one.
Where are you getting chipping and when was it built?
