When I plug it into the iPhone/pod cable that came with the system. It doesn't recognize there is a phone or device at all. According to Kenwood it is "not compatible". Yet I have read on the internet people are able to with the DNX6020EX

I am growing increasingly frustrated that my iPhone 4S is not able to sync with my Kenwood unit that came with my 2012 Kizashi. Has anyone had success getting it to work? Also, I have read that there is a firmware version of 2.4.0 but I am running 2.2. The updates on kenwoods site are no help.
