Re: Wheel Lock-car won't start
Also appears that warmer days (car in driveway instead of in garage) cause the wheel lock to engage. driver door hadn't been open in a week, so that door sensor didn't engage the wheel lock. Strange. I can relate that warmer temps seem to make the steering lock operate differently. I live in a warm...

Re: rear suspension cracked
Why doesn't my car have No. 32 parts, only No. 30 and No. 31? I bought a used car, maybe the original owner removed the No. 32 shock absorber seat. Like Woodie said, you are misidentifying the parts. The cracked part is #32. Also, the part you boxed in red (#34) is the bump stopper. The top part of...

Re: Wheel Lock-car won't start
I'm no expert on the matter but I think the flaw in your logic is that you're treating the driver door sensor as a dedicated sensor for the steering lock. It's a sensor to serve a few purposes but mainly for the cabin lights to turn on. The steering lock happens to be wired to the input of the door ...

Re: Problem after gas tank recall fix
Definitely take the car back and have them check the work. I also had the recall done but a few years ago. I've had no issues.
For my car, when the fuel gauge hits E and the fuel light comes on, I can usually refill about 12.5 to 13.5 gallons. This was the case before and after the recall.

Re: Trunk won't open
Trunk latch not working. Suspect it is the result of the wife slamming the trunk lid all the time. Replaced with a 2011 Camry latch from Amazon, $17.45 Camry latch has an attachment on the rear for a push/pull rod. Low and behold the Kizashi trunk lid has a hole under the latch mounting point that ...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?
I finally got the airbag sensor recall work done on my Kizashi after getting notices for like three years. I ignored it for a while due to just being preoccupied and it not seeming very critical. I finally decided to get it done after conceding it could bring more benefits than cons in my situation....

Re: Wheel Lock-car won't start
Woodie and Old Tech discussed the more permanent solutions to the issue. It's a very common issue with the Kizashi and other cars of this era with electronic steering wheel locks. My car does it time to time but not enough for me to consider parts replacement. I found that what works to quickly reso...

Re: Suzuki Reservoir Cap
I don't think it really matters. Use the blue coolant you can get most easily. In fact, I think I last topped off with Zerex. I've also used Pentofrost before. Again, don't be nervous about not having that reservoir cap. It's almost inconsequential and it's possible you discovered that lost cap long...

Re: Suzuki Reservoir Cap
I got your email and sent you a PM but I'll reiterate the message here too: Some have claimed a twist cap from a windshield washer jug or coolant jug will fit and twist onto the reservoir. Try that as a cheap, quick fix. As for rendering the car useless, it's not true. The Kizashi's reservoir is no...
