Re: Trunk latch when emergency release handle is missing
The lack of the emergency handle might be due to regulations based on market. Where are you located? Are you sure it ever came with one? As for the latch mechanism itself, it's electronic and can fail over time. Mine did, exhibiting the same issues you are experiencing of not latching. It was interm...

Re: Sayonara Kizashi!
Thanks for the additional info on the CX-50. I was wondering if you plan on doing any aftermarket upgrades to it like with your Kizashi? At least all of the exterior lighting is already LEDs (and probably interior, too) lol. Mazda was apparently notorious for setting the lowbeam way too low out of ...

Re: Sayonara Kizashi!
Man! Congrats on the new whip, Kuro! I'm so happy to hear the Kizashi is going to a family member, but ALSO that your nephew is a young dude who's going to be rowing his own gears...so cool. I didn't realized the new CX-50 hybrid was using (the Best!) hybrid drive train out there. Very glad to hear...

Re: AC performance problem at 213K
Interesting notes. In the US, most AC kits come with hoses that have gauges on them. The refill process also often involves gently rocking the can back and forth as you refill and watch the pressure in the gauge. I've never had to refill the Kizashi's AC system but have done so in a few other cars. ...

Re: New Arrival From the People's Republic of California
Ah, that makes sense. While your current wheels resemble the 2010 SLS wheels, they do look more whitish silver than I think the OE wheels were. It makes sense they are aftermarket and I'm glad you were able to get OE-looking wheels that better suited your tastes. They do look great on your white SLS...

Re: New Arrival From the People's Republic of California
Looks great and glad to hear you're liking the car. Getting it tinted? In seeing a photo of the actual car, I have to point out that your Kizashi appears to have the older 18 inch alloy wheels of a Model Year 2010 SLS before the Sport models were introduced in Model Year 2011. Basically, when the Ki...

Re: Reporting in from Japan
Reviving this old thread to post new content from my recent trip to Japan. As many know, Japan is the home of Suzuki and the brand has a healthy presence in the nation. During my trip there, I spotted many new Suzukis but my favorite is the Jimny. While the Jimny is a vehicle sold around the world, ...

Re: Sayonara Kizashi!
I’m glad you’re happy with the Mazda, and also that you got it when you did (before all the pricing shenanigans started). The CR-V Trailsport ended up being closer to the CX-50 Meridian than the Passport Trailsport in terms of what you get (i.e. no skid plates), so I’m glad you didn’t wait for that...
