lease end buy out

I have a lease expiring through Ally - but i'm not letting go of this car - love it.
Has anyone negotiated the buyout cost? I did this a couple of years ago with a lexus GS and without hesitation they knocked $2,500.00 off the purchase price.

Re: Rear shock failed

Yes, correct just had them installed last week. Will be putting about 1,000 miles on them over the next several days from NJ to Vt - weather forcast is for rain, snow, sleet, and will be driving on class four roads as well.

I'll let you all know how they handle at hair raising speeds

Re: End Of Lease Purchase?

You are correct - the dealer has nothing to do with the lease, or the buyout, this is whomever you make your monthly lease payment to - these are the folks you want to speak with.

Re: End Of Lease Purchase?

Not necessarily, i have had the opportunity to negotiate the residual at the end of the lease on two vehicles in the last ten years. My Kiz lease is also up in a little over a year, and we will absolutely be negotiating the residual.

Re: Anyone else have issues with OEM tire tread wear?

The OEM tires are lousy - went bald at 22K miles, even when they were new, horrid in the rain. Replaced with GY eagle GT's and much better in the rain and snow. 8K miles on them, rotated twice, and they show very little wear - and handling is much improved
