Re: The replacement
That little Scion sure is quite a few steps down from the Kiz. Hopefully it works out for you. Made in Mexico? Yes the Scion is pretty down market. And it is made in Mexico. But i think it's going to suit my need for basic cheap transportation since I do have a pretty good commute. And with 43.4 mpg...

Re: The replacement
Hope the Scion iA brings you many years of reliable and enjoyable driving. Thanks, Kuro! What were the symptoms that your Kizashi's CVT was going out? As far as symptoms, I guess they began a couple weeks ago, though I'm not sure it was really the CVT or not. When accelerating and the engine would ...

The replacement
Introducing my Kizashi's replacement: A 2016 Scion iA.
After 132k the CVT in my Kizashi is toast. A local shop quoted $3100 to change it out with a used one, but I decided it's not worth it. I miss the Kiz but am loving the gas mileage of the Scion.

I frequently pass a black Kizashi parked in a parking lot. Stopped today and left a note for the driver about the forum.

Re: Steering is driving me nuts!!
I know you have had lots of advice and have checked multiple parts of your car's suspension, but have you checked (or had someone else check) your strut mounts? Your post sounds a lot like what was going on with my Kizashi for the last few months. At first, I started noticing a popping/clunking so...

Re: RRM Rear Sway Bar Bushings Issue
My bushings are pretty much shot. They started squeaking very soon after installing my RRM sway bar. If I relubed, the squeaking would stop for a short time, but would always come back. Over time the squeaking has given way to clunking/thumping. I can still quiet everything down by adding more lube,...

My Kizashi had 37k when I bought it used. I'm now at 119k. Haven't touched the brakes. . . yet.

Re: Kizashi gaz Mileage(only AWD please) with a Full gaz tank
Have you guys noticed that the fuel gauge is inconsistent? I've found that the last half decreases a lot faster. Yes! The first half always lasts longer. I'm currently road tripping through Oregon and have manually calculated an average of 28mpg so far on 87 octane, no AWD, two of us and a trunk fu...
