You could measure how much fluid is drained, and add the same volume of the fresh fluid afterwards. Check the CVT level before and after to adjust as needed.

Try turning the air conditioning (AC) off, and see if it still happens.

Yep, the sun roof switches are somewhat counterintuitive. I always have to double check if the roof is in the fully closed position.
