Who was wanting one of these to dissect?

Unfortunately i am now a member of this steering lock problem club. One guy early on in this thread mentioned replacing the battery (or that a battery at the end of its life could make this problem worse...) has anyone here found a brand new battery even helps at all? I saw new batteries in key fob...

Okay perhaps I misunderstood a previous post. I am just referring to the steering lock module.

I showed my daughter how to tap the module with a wrench when it won't start and she's able to get it to start as soon as she does that, every time. I have a very good mechanic who is fully capable of replacing the module. However, it was previously mentioned that the car might not start afterwards ...

Ronzuki I will purchase a replacement and see if that fixes it. If it does, I'll send you the old one.
