Re: high mileage kizashi?

Encouraging to hear how well our Kizashi's last. I have been considering replacing my Kiz with a Hybrid Camry for the last two years but just can not bring myself to say goodby to my Kiz. With Biden talk of making gasoline more expensive may sway me. Getting 51 mpg in a hybrid Camry is temping. But ...

I agree. Even a PDF that I could download would be great.

Re: Trouble Shifting MT Into Reverse

At the risk of sounding like a jerk, I'm going to insist that this is a clutch problem. If the car is sitting still and you press the clutch pedal all the way down and wait a couple of seconds, then when you move the shifter toward reverse and get a grinding noise, your clutch is not releasing all ...

Re: Trouble Shifting MT Into Reverse

Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. I had my wife press down the clutch petal before I opened the nut and shut the nut before she released the petal. I was being careful by not opening the bleed nut until the petal was pushed down. Brake fluid only came out after I opened the nut a full turn. When...

Re: Trouble Shifting MT Into Reverse

I bled the clutch today and nothing changed. So I guess my next step is to replace the trans fluid. I'm going to wait for a semi warm day. I froze pretty good bleeding the clutch today. Taking the air filter box was easy but had a hard time getting the back bolt back on. I had put in Redline MTL bef...

Re: Trouble Shifting MT Into Reverse

That sounds like clutch to me. Bleed the clutch lines. Bleeding the clutch was discussed before. I had planned to, but then the double clutching was working, so I didn't. the Kiz shifted so well in the forward gears I did not want to jeopardize anything. Now, I'm ready to. Has anybody bled the clut...

Re: Trouble Shifting MT Into Reverse

I just reached 103,000 miles. Replaced the oil, filters, brakes and plugs at 100,000. Maybe replacing the trans fluid might help. I have put about 60,000 miles on since I last put some Red Line in. Double clutching was working out well until a few weeks ago when my wife was grinding the gears over &...

Trouble Shifting MT Into Reverse

When I shift my manual transmission into reverse it does not fully engage and I get gears grinding. This happens two out of three attempts when the engine is cold and one out of four times after driving. I used to avoid this by shifting into first gear before shifting into reverse. Over the years th...

Re: Drive Belt

I'm about to replace the drive belt. Has anyone had trouble with the idler pulley or belt tensioner ? Just wondering if I should replace them now or keep as spares. Thinking the aftermarket pulley's will not be the same quality of OEM. How many km are you at ? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk 1...
