Re: Sudden loss of engine power

This is a tricky one. I think you’re getting an intermittent situation with your stability control. It is seeing some thing like a momentary open circuit for the all wheel drive system if yours is all wheel drive. Or a speed sensor on one of the wheels not Reading 100%, but just not throwing a code ...

Re: AC FLASHING AUTO

I remember having this exact problem, but I don’t remember it being anything other than a blown fuse. My suggestion would be to recheck all fuse positions, making sure there’s an actual fuse in the designated spot. There are three fuse box locations, but the last one is quite small over on the passe...

Key replacement

Many Kizashi owners only have one key fob in their possession. This is kind of scary because if you lose that last key, the car must be towed to someplace that can do it or find an outfit that has the ability and is mobile. This gets extremely costly now. I had found one independent that would try i...

Re: Chain Service and Engine Noise (Knocking)

Usually it is difficult to pinpoint noise from recordings but Im pretty sure the noise is timing chain related. Probably a partially broken guide or tensioner that has been damaged.

Re: New Key Fob Success!

My original key fobs have been slowly wearing out to the point where they were almost non functioning. In spite of my solid experience with my Kizashi, I knew that the day would come that the key fobs might make continued ownership difficult. I would take them apart and try cleaning them, checking ...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

If its not to late , I would suggest removing the manifold and mig welding the cracks. The aftermarket unit is of much lower quality and a more expensive route. The cracking is usually caused by the support from manifold to oil pan being loose or omitted. Another cause is the exhaust flex being repl...

Re: EVAP Canister Leak

It would be beneficial to have the trouble code. the most common evap code the Kizashi is having is P0456. This is triggered usually by the cap not tightened properly or a rust perforation on filler tube. There are other evap codes that may require a replacement canister but these are rare. Make sur...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

You are correct about the miles as far as when they like to break on the transmission. There are exceptions to the rule though. I have seen a few of them make it to 200,000 before breaking. Since yours is still together, I can do a short cut on it that would save you, a good bit of money compared to...

Re: The car struggling to start again after it's driven

I’m leaning toward a set of injectors as the cure.

Its really hard when cold start in the morning but i just keep trying and it will start eventually sometime ins second or third tries and sometime 15 minutes. I took it to the lots...
